Play Therapy for Children
Expression through play
Worried About Your Child?
It can be hard to know how to help when your child is struggling but can’t fully explain how they feel.
You may have noticed changes in their behaviour, emotions, or confidence or feel that something isn’t quite right.
I’m Krishika, a BACP-registered psychodynamic therapist who offers play therapy for children.
I provide a safe, calm, and supportive space where children can express themselves through play in a way that feels natural and comfortable for them.
Through this process, we begin to understand what they may be experiencing beneath the surface.
Your child may be experiencing:
- Anxiety or worries
- Difficulty expressing emotions
- Behavioural changes or emotional outbursts
- Low confidence or withdrawal
- Challenges at school or with friendships
- Effects of transitions or difficult experiences
Play therapy allows children to express thoughts and feelings in a way that doesn’t rely on words.
Over time, this can help your child:
- Feel more understood and supported
- Express emotions more comfortably
- Build confidence and emotional resilience
- Develop healthier ways of coping
My Approach
Children don’t always have the words to explain how they feel, but they can often express themselves through play.
Using toys, creative activities, and imagination, play therapy creates a space where your child can safely explore emotions and experiences.
My approach is child-led and paced gently, focused on emotional safety and trust, and adapted to your child’s individual needs
This helps build a supportive relationship where your child can feel secure and understood.
